Just thinking about Damien Topp’s family today. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain they must have endured all these years without answers. I was reading over the case details again, and it struck me how particularly eerie it must be for those who live in the area where it happened. Laraine Court is probably just another quiet neighborhood street, but for Damien’s loved ones, it’s a place that holds such a haunting memory.
One detail I’ve always wondered about is the man in the red and white jersey that witnesses saw. What are the chances that someone still has that jersey, or that someone remembers a friend or acquaintance suddenly avoiding the east side after that day? This is one of those cases where I feel like a small memory or detail could make such a big difference. Keeping my fingers crossed that someone, somewhere will remember something and finally come forward. Sending all my thoughts and support to Damien's family and friends.
Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot lately about how certain cases don't get the attention they deserve, and Damien Topp's murder is one of them. It's been so many years, and still, there's no closure for his family and friends. It just seems so unfair.
Something that really stuck with me is the description of the suspect. A red and white athletic jersey and matching cap? That seems pretty distinctive. I can't help but wonder if anyone else might remember seeing a person in that outfit around the neighborhood or even in some local store camera footage from that day. With technology constantly improving, maybe there's an old piece of footage out there that could shed some light?
Just putting this out there with the hope that someone remembers something small that could make a big difference. Thinking of Damien's loved ones and hoping for a breakthrough soon. If you know anything, even if it seems minor or irrelevant, please consider reaching out to Crime Stoppers. Every little bit helps.
Stay safe out there.
