On May 25, 2007, Damien Topp, aged 23, was shot and killed in Columbus, Ohio. The incident took place on the east side of Columbus at 4792 Laraine Court. Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 10:44 a.m. where they found Topp lying on the grass after being shot. According to witness statements, Topp was initially standing in the doorway of his residence when he was shot and then stumbled outside.
