I recently came across some old news articles about the disappearance of Shirley Klemgard and her brother Edward LaBrie, and something got me thinking. That note found on the boat fragment at Fairhaven Beach might not have been exactly as it seemed. Could it have been written under duress, or maybe even left as a decoy? I've read about cases where perpetrators leave misleading clues to throw off investigations. It's eerie that they were out at sea for a week, allegedly, and that was the only piece of communication we found. Makes you wonder if the note was meant to tell someone directly where they were or if something else was going on behind the scenes. Anyone else have thoughts about the note's authenticity or what it could imply?
I was reading about the Shirley Klemgard and Edward LaBrie case again, and something struck me about that note found on the boat debris. It just seems odd to me that they managed to write and leave such a specific message but weren’t able to make it to shore themselves. I wonder if the note was written under duress or if someone found it later and modified it? Could it have drifted with currents from somewhere else before reaching Fairhaven Beach? There are just so many possibilities, and not knowing is so frustrating. Currents in Lake Ontario can be unpredictable, right? Maybe understanding them better could provide a clue about where the boat was actually by the time they wrote the message. Would love to hear what others think about this angle!
Hey everyone,
I recently came across the case of Shirley Klemgard and her brother, Edward, who went missing back in 1989 during a fishing trip on Lake Ontario. One thing that's been bugging me is the piece of the boat found with that cryptic message. It seems like a desperate plea for help, but how did it end up at Fairhaven Beach so far from where they were last seen?
Was the boat drifting that far away, or did someone possibly intercept it and write that note as a red herring? The lake's currents and weather patterns at that time might have provided some clues. It seems strange that despite the searches, nothing else came up connected to them or the boat. Has anyone looked into environmental factors or debris trends in the area?
Would love to hear thoughts. It’s like every angle leads to more questions.
