Has anyone else looked into the strange circumstances surrounding Elvin Crist's truck being found at the University of Kansas? It seems so out of place, especially considering he had no known connections to the university. I find it odd that the truck was just sitting there with the receipt inside. Could this location have any significance? Maybe someone attending or working at the university saw something unusual that day. If the investigators haven't ruled it out, it might be worth revisiting this location to see if anything new surfaces. Wondering if back then they checked campus records or surveillance footage from nearby buildings? Any thoughts or similar stories where a missing person's vehicle location led to clues?
I was just going through some old case files and stumbled upon the disappearance of Elvin Everett Crist. It's intriguing how he was last seen in such a routine setting, right after a regular workday and a simple visit to a store. It's like he vanished into thin air without any apparent reason. What particularly baffles me is the abandoned truck found at the University of Kansas. Why there of all places? Did Elvin have any connections or interests related to the university? It’s such a public area—surely someone must have seen something. And then there are the bounced checks. It's mystifying that someone would risk cashing them without knowing they’d clear, almost like they were trying to send a message or cover tracks. If anyone’s familiar with similar cases where vehicles were left at universities, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Does anyone else find it strange about the missing checks? After Elvin Everett Crist disappeared in Lawrence, someone tried cashing his personal checks. The attempt failed because the checks bounced, but who's cashing checks after someone goes missing? It feels like if we can figure that out, there might be a clue about what happened to him. The fact that they never tracked down the individual responsible is wild to me. I assume police checked cameras, but maybe footage wasn’t available or didn’t capture anything useful back in '96. There's just something really unsettling about someone using his checks right after his disappearance. Could it be someone he knew, or just a random person? What do you all think?
