Elvin Everett Crist, age 40, was last seen on December 10, 1996, in Lawrence, Kansas. He worked at his family's landscaping business and was last seen by his father at the end of their workday. After finishing work, Elvin reportedly visited a J.C. Penney store, where he exchanged a pair of jeans. However, he did not return home that evening, and his family never heard from him again.
