I was doing some digging into Elsie Elsinga's case and found it puzzling how the sighting on Pocono Drive was never confirmed. That area isn't very busy, so it seems unlikely that she was just randomly walking there without someone catching more than just a glimpse. Were there any security cameras nearby, or was there any talk of people canvassing the area after her disappearance? It's frustrating that a potentially critical lead might have slipped through the cracks. It's like her medical needs should have made it more urgent to track her movements, yet here we are, still unsure of where she went all these years later. Anyone have more insight on whether this sighting was really looked into thoroughly?
I find it baffling that Elsie's note was dismissed so quickly. I know she had made similar comments before, but given her age and medical conditions, any note like that should have raised alarms immediately. I can’t help but wonder if that note was written under duress or if someone else was involved in making her disappear. If she was seen on Pocono Drive days after her disappearance, how did she get there without assistance given her health issues? It feels like there are too many gaps and unanswered questions. Anyone else have thoughts on why that note might've been overlooked or whether the witness account was credible?
