I've been thinking a lot about the tragic loss of Dwaynel Howard and the impact it's had on those who knew and loved him. It's truly unsettling that, even after all these years, there has been no closure for his family. I can't even begin to imagine the frustration and pain his friends and family must be feeling, knowing his case remains unsolved. The lack of witnesses or any leads has probably made this even harder for them. It's all very concerning, especially with violent crime statistics on the rise in Columbus. I really hope someone who knows something—no matter how small it might seem—finds the courage to come forward and help bring some resolution to this case. We all need to remember that while Dwaynel's case might just be a number in the homicide count for Columbus in 2017, for his family, it’s a deeply personal tragedy that they are still living with every day. Hoping and praying for justice and peace for them.
