Every time I think about the case of Des'Juan Johnson, I can't help but feel a deep sense of sadness for his family and friends. It's beyond unfair that a young life was taken so violently, especially when Des'Juan was just starting out in life. I live in Columbus, and the spike in gun violence that year was truly disturbing. I remember feeling uneasy knowing that something like this could happen in our city. What puzzles me is the type of weapons used in the attack—an assault rifle and handguns. It makes you wonder if it was a targeted hit or if someone was just being reckless. And poor Cameron... I can only imagine the trauma he's dealing with, being there and then making it out unharmed physically but bearing emotional scars that might never heal. This unsolved case hangs heavy on the community, and I hope anyone who knows something comes forward. Des'Juan's family deserves answers and some semblance of closure.
