I’ve been thinking a lot about Robert Louis Alsbrook’s case, and something that keeps bothering me is the location where he was first shot. The old Cabarrus County Fairgrounds—does anyone know if that area was known for anything particular back in 1978? Was it a common spot for people to hang out? It just seems odd to me that someone would be sitting there unless they had a reason to be. Maybe there’s a local connection or someone who might have seen something? If anyone from Concord remembers that area in the late '70s, your insight could be so valuable. It must be incredibly difficult for his family not to have answers all these years later. Let’s keep the conversation going and see if we can piece together anything that might help bring some closure to them.
I've been thinking a lot about Robert Louis Alsbrook's case recently. It's so unsettling that after all these years, justice still hasn't been served for him and his family. One thing that's really bothering me is the location where the murder took place. The fact that it happened at the former Cabarrus County Fairgrounds makes me wonder—was it a random act, or did someone know he would be there?
Given that it was a public space, could there have been witnesses who just didn’t realize what they saw at the time? It's horrifying to think about the fear Robert must have felt trying to make it to the tent revival for help. Sending love to his family and friends who keep fighting for answers. Has anyone come across any information that wasn't widely reported? Sometimes just the smallest detail can make a world of difference.
Hello everyone,
Something that I find truly puzzling about Robert Louis Alsbrook’s case is the location where it all happened. The former Cabarrus County Fairgrounds doesn’t really seem like a place where something like this would go down, especially back in 1978. I mean, how busy or quiet was it around there at the time of the shooting? Was this an area where people often went during that time of day or was it usually deserted? I wonder if anyone remembers being around there that day or if there were any witnesses who might have seen something unusual but were too afraid or unsure to come forward.
It’s been decades, but someone out there has to know even the smallest piece of information, something that might seem insignificant but could be the missing link to finally bring justice to Robert and closure for his loved ones. Just thinking about his family and friends who have spent so many years without answers—it’s truly devastating. Let’s hope they get the answers they’ve been waiting for soon.
Stay safe,
