I recently came across Vincent Gartner's case from 1980, and something that's been puzzling me is the detail about his motorcycle being left at the Greyhound bus depot. Does anyone know if this was in line with his usual behavior? Did he frequently travel like this on his days off? It seems like a crucial piece of the puzzle to understand what his intentions might have been once he reached the mountains. Could it have been an impromptu decision, or had he mentioned to anyone that he planned this specific trip? The fact that nothing was ever found makes me wonder if he might have taken a bus somewhere else entirely. Thoughts?

Has anyone else looked into the local folklore surrounding the Snoqualmie Pass area? I was reading about Vincent Gartner's disappearance, and it got me curious about any local legends or mysterious happenings that might've been circulating around that time. Given the rough terrain and unpredictable weather, it seems possible that other strange events might be connected. Does anyone know if other hikers or outdoor enthusiasts have gone missing or had odd encounters in that region? It's so frustrating when people vanish without a trace, and any local insights or historical context might help piece together what could've happened to him.
