Missing

Vincent Gartner, a 23-year-old member of the U.S. Coast Guard, was last seen on January 24, 1980, after leaving his ship, the USCGC Boutwell, for a pass. He rented snowshoes in Seattle and left his motorcycle at a Greyhound bus depot, indicating his intent to head towards Snoqualmie Pass. However, when he did not return as scheduled, search efforts were launched in both Snoqualmie and Stevens Pass areas, but no trace of him was found.
