Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Jamie Smith and John Mattmiller for a while, and something about it just tugs at my conscience. I was thinking today about the impact this tragedy must have had on the local community in Havelock back in '97. A small town like that must have been shaken to its core. I can only imagine how difficult it was for their friends and families to carry on while living in a place where everyone knew everyone. Has there been any discussion about the potential for a community-driven event or memorial in their honor? I believe it could be a significant step in keeping their memory alive and maybe even encouraging someone to come forward with information. Their lives were so unfairly cut short, and they deserve justice. It's just so sad to think that this case is still cold after all these years. Would love to hear anyone's thoughts or if locals know of anything happening in the community to keep this case in the public eye. Stay safe, everyone.
