Has anyone looked into local events or venues that were popular around Mason City at the time Grace went missing? I'm curious because it might help narrow down where she and her friends might have gone that night. The early 80s had some unique social spots, and maybe they were regulars at a particular place. Also, does anyone know if her friends were ever contacted by authorities or if they made any statements? It's been so long, and I feel like minor details like these could lead to missed connections in the case. Any locals who remember the area from back then might have hidden clues to share!
I can't stop thinking about the detail of Grace's bed being turned down. It seems so peculiar and out of place. If she was heading out with friends, wouldn’t the bed just be unmade or left like it was from earlier that day? The fact that her bed was prepared as if she was planning to return suggests she thought she was coming home that night. It makes you wonder if something or someone unexpectedly interrupted her plans before she even got that far. It's been so long, but little clues like this still hold weight when there's not much else to go on. Could someone familiar to her have been involved, or did she simply forget something and planned to return shortly? Perhaps there's more to that bed being turned down than meets the eye.
