Just stumbled across Fred Richard Davis's case again and can't stop thinking about how his truck ended up in the Las Vegas Dunes Casino parking lot. The whole situation just seems so strange! I mean, no known connections to Vegas, windows down, keys inside—something doesn't add up here. It almost feels like someone was trying to make it look like he left on his own, or maybe he did and met with foul play along the way? I wonder if anyone has ever come forward about seeing him in Vegas in those few days. With all the people that must've been around, you'd think someone might've spotted him or seen something odd. Hope there's still some hope for leads after all these years. Anyone local to Vegas back in '85 remember hearing about this?
Has anyone else ever wondered why Fred's truck was left in such a conspicuous spot at the Dunes Casino? It's been bothering me that the windows were rolled down and the keys were left inside. I mean, Las Vegas in late summer is unbearably hot – not exactly the place to just leave your car open like that. Could someone have wanted it to be found? It just seems odd that someone would abandon the vehicle in such mint condition unless they wanted it to visibly be noticed. I haven’t seen much discussion on why it was left in broad daylight if the goal was to cover any tracks. Any thoughts or theories on what might have been the reason behind that?
Has anyone looked into Davis’ connection to Las Vegas? The truck being left at the Dunes Casino just seems so out of place unless there’s more we don’t know. Maybe he met someone on previous trips there? I know sometimes people develop relationships or acquaintances in completely unexpected places…just a theory. Given the era, perhaps he was drawn by something as simple as an interest in gambling, even if it was a secret hobby? If anyone has any insights or theories on why he would be in Vegas at all, I'd be interested in hearing them.
