I've been thinking a lot about how Andrea and Bernd's belongings were used after the murder. It's chilling to realize that the traveler's checks stolen from them were used to purchase gasoline in towns south of Chetwynd. How did the killer casually go on with life after committing such a heinous act? It’s unsettling to think that someone was using Andrea and Bernd's money for days afterward, leaving traces of their crime. I hope the friends and family of Andrea and Bernd have found some peace, even though this case remains unresolved. It's a stark reminder of the unpredictable danger in trusting strangers, and my heart goes out to anyone who has had to endure such a senseless tragedy. If only the forensic technology we have today had been available back then, maybe there could have been some closure for everyone affected.
