I’ve been looking into Amy Marie Johnson's disappearance, and I find her connection with her ex really curious. From what I understand, he was the last person to have seen her before she vanished, claiming he just dropped her off downtown. But my question is, how well was he really looked into by law enforcement? It's been decades, and there's still so much uncertainty. I wonder if they thoroughly checked his alibi or if there's more to the story. Also, that sighting in Gardiner makes me wonder if she was really heading somewhere or if someone led her there. It’s frustrating how years go by, and we’re left with more questions than answers. Does anyone know if there's been any recent development in terms of re-interviewing people from back then, including the ex?

I was reading through some old articles and came across the case of Amy Marie Johnson from 1986. Something that really sticks out to me is the mention of the uncashed check she left behind. It doesn't entirely add up. If she planned to walk away, why not cash it before leaving? Back in the '80s, having cash on hand was so crucial, especially for someone with a baby. It's almost like she was planning to return soon, but something happened. Could it point to a sudden change in plans? Maybe someone she trusted convinced her to go along with them? No doubt, the check is a clue, and it speaks volumes about her intentions that day. Has anyone come across any records of the check or its origin? Just some thoughts... would love to hear what others think.

Does anyone else find it odd that Amy supposedly left all her belongings behind, especially the uncashed check? From what I've read, that doesn't sound like something she'd typically do, especially as a single mom with a baby to care for. Wouldn't the check be important if she was planning on going anywhere for a longer time? It makes me wonder what her former boyfriend’s role might be in all this. Did something happen during their drive that caused her to leave things behind so abruptly? I hope investigators took a closer look at his story and behavior during that time. Of course, this is all speculation, but I can't help but feel like there's more to this story that hasn't been pieced together yet. Curious if anyone else has thoughts on why she might have left without taking anything.
