I can’t help but think about the impact this violent incident has had, especially on the Milwaukee music scene. Quentene Williams, known to so many as Funny $Money, was a key figure who helped elevate local talent and bring attention to the city's hip-hop community. It’s so painful to imagine the void left behind by his sudden, violent departure. His projects like "Don't Talk 2 Much" and "I Got the Hook Up Vol. 1" were more than just music; they were a reflection of his passion and the vibrant culture he was a part of. He was apparently not just a talented artist, but also someone who cared dearly for his family. The fact that his final words to his nephew were about love and safety is moving and shows the kind of person he was. It’s unnerving to think that a place meant for creativity and collaboration—like the recording studio—became a scene of such tragedy. Quentene’s loved ones must be going through so much right now; my thoughts are sincerely with them. It seems the whole community is grappling with this loss. As the legal proceedings against Harris continue, I hope justice is served, and more importantly, that Williams is honored by those who knew him best. The violence that rocked their lives shouldn’t overshadow the positive influence and the profound legacy he leaves behind in Milwaukee’s music scene.
