I can't shake the sense of loss our community is feeling after the senseless death of Coach Tim Bankston. What stands out to me is how the back door was found ajar by his friend. It's such a heartbreaking detail that makes me wonder about the events leading up to his last moments. Was it someone he knew and trusted, allowing entry without a second thought? It’s just so unsettling to think about the possible scenarios. I can't imagine what his family and the young athletes he mentored are going through, especially knowing the investigation hasn't yet yielded any tangible leads. Here's hoping for a breakthrough soon so that Tim's loved ones can find some measure of peace and closure. The continued support from the community shows just how much he meant to us all. Keeping his spirit alive through the countless lives he touched would be the most fitting tribute.
