Does anyone have more information about the Lakeland area during the late 70s and early 80s? I've been looking into Letha Mae Williams's case, and it's so frustrating how many questions remain. From what I've gathered, her skull was found in a trash pile, but there’s no clear picture of what the scene looked like or if there were other remains. It's tragic and must be deeply distressing for her family to have limited details even after all these years. I've read that there were other violent incidents around that time, too, possibly linked to the same suspect. But what was the atmosphere like back then? Was there a sense of fear in the community following these incidents? If anyone recalls or has family who remembers that period, I'd appreciate any insights. It's sad to think about the families left with this ambiguity and no closure.
