Hey everyone, I’ve been going down the rabbit hole on the Linda Clark and Claudia Bidstrup case from 1972, and I stumbled across something I wanted to share for discussion. While most focus is understandably on the horrific acts themselves, I can't stop thinking about the emotional weight of Koster's confession. Here you have a 15-year-old kid, twisted up in a world of violence and manipulation, grappling with his own conscience. Imagine the guilt and fear that would drive a teenager to start talking to street workers about these unspeakable acts. Was it his age that made him crack under the weight of what he’d done, or was there a part of him that wanted desperately to stop living under Ranes’ shadow? I’m curious about what you all think drove him to finally open up. Was it remorse? Fear? The need for redemption? It’s such a tragic contrast between the horrifying violence and this moment of confession that ultimately led to justice for Linda and Claudia. Sending love to the families involved; this case still sends chills down my spine all these years later.
