I've been following the tragic case of Ondrea Stevenson, and it just breaks my spirit to think about how much potential was lost that night. What has really haunted me is the idea of those bullets being intended for someone else. It serves as such a stark reminder of how indiscriminate violence affects innocent lives. I can't stop thinking about her poor roommates and how terrifying it must be to realize your home is no longer safe. I hope they have found some peace in the years since. If anyone has updates on how the community has been honoring Ondrea's memory, or if there's been any local push to address the violence in west Charlotte, I'd love to hear more. It's important we don't forget Ondrea and others like her, who are often caught in situations beyond their control.
