Has anyone looked into the possibility that Dionisio might have encountered trouble while crossing somewhere newer or less monitored by authorities? I've read in other discussions how some individuals try to avoid the more heavily patrolled areas near San Diego. It's a long shot, but maybe there were other crossings or paths being used around that time that didn't get much attention? It seems like such a difficult situation to get lost in that area. Anyone else with thoughts on that?
Hey everyone,
I was going through some cold cases and came across the disappearance of Dionisio Perez-Hernandez from 1996. One thing that caught my attention is how little information there is out there about what happened to him after he was last seen. It makes me wonder about the possible dynamics or dangers he could have faced while trying to cross the border.
Does anyone know if there were any significant events or disruptions in the area back in '96 that might give some context? I feel like understanding the environment at the time might provide clues about what could have happened. Also, if anyone is familiar with similar cases from that period in the San Diego region, it might be worth discussing any patterns or insights that could help with Dionisio's case.
Thanks for any thoughts or additional info you might have!
