I’ve been following the Raul Marrero Diaz case for years now, and something that's always puzzled me is the weather conditions on that day. I’ve read that the seas were particularly rough, but does anyone have more detailed reports or firsthand accounts of the weather around Miami and the Bahamas on January 13, 1998? Could it have been unpredictable conditions that caught them off guard? I’m curious if the Coast Guard or local fishermen had any insights. This might not bring Raul and John back, but understanding what might have happened could help give context to their disappearance. If anyone here has ties to old weather records or knows places that might have archived data, maybe it could shed some light on possible outcomes for their trip. Any thoughts or insights are much appreciated.
Hey everyone, I’ve been following the Raul Marrero Diaz case for some time and I can’t stop pondering about the weather conditions on that fateful day. I've always wondered why they decided to go on the trip despite the rough seas. Were there reports of the weather forecast that they might’ve just misunderstood or overlooked? Was it a sudden change in weather? It’s crucial since it seems like a lot of sudden accidents at sea happen because of these unforeseen conditions. If anybody has insights on how typical it was for local fishermen to go out in such conditions back in ’98, it might help us better understand what Diaz and his friend could've encountered. I keep hoping for new information or a breakthrough, no matter how small. Let’s keep sharing whatever we can.
