Raul Marrero Diaz, a 31-year-old man, was last seen on January 13, 1998, in Miami, Florida. He and his friend, John Perez, embarked on a fishing trip to the Bahamas in a blue and white 25-foot Offshore open fishing boat. The pair were accompanied by two other friends in a separate boat. However, rough seas on that day caused Diaz and Perez's boat to disappear from view, and they were never heard from again.
Despite searches, there have been no signs of the men or their vessel, and their disappearance remains a mystery. Diaz had a scar on his back and was described as 5'7", weighing 180 pounds, with gray hair and hazel eyes at the time of his disappearance. Given the circumstances and lack of evidence, the case is classified as a lost/injured missing case, and authorities continue to investigate in hopes of finding answers.
