I can't shake the thought of how this tragedy must have shattered the Parker family. Tiffany, fighting for her life in the hospital while mourning the loss of her son, is going through something unimaginable. It makes me wonder how the community is coming together to support her and any other family members during such a devastating time. I read that Sheriff Ruffin is focusing on the bigger issue of firearms falling into the hands of teenagers in Bertie County. It’s concerning to think about, especially with the rise in incidents involving young people and guns. There has to be more that can be done in terms of education and prevention. Does anyone know if there are local programs or initiatives aimed at tackling this issue? It feels like this is where community leaders and educators could really step in to make a difference. Anthony’s death should be a catalyst for change, at the very least. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this—not just in mourning Anthony, but in dealing with the growing fear and uncertainty in their community.
