It's so painful to hear about these senseless acts of violence, especially when it takes someone like Jose Luis Trujillo Jr. from us. What’s been on my mind lately is this lingering question about why there hasn’t been more progress in identifying the suspect. I know the police have released a composite sketch and surveillance footage, but with so many people using social media, I’m curious as to how these images are being utilized online. Are people in the community sharing this information widely enough to reach key witnesses who might not realize what they know? Maybe someone just doesn’t connect what they saw with the event yet. I hope the circulation of these images can jog someone’s memory. It's heartening to see communities rally in hopes of clarifying details or providing the critical piece of evidence. My thoughts are with Jose’s family during such an inconceivable time, and I truly hope that they can soon find some semblance of peace knowing the person responsible is held accountable.
