I recently started following the case of Devante Shields and Lavonta Churchill, and one particular detail has really been on my mind. It's the location of the shooting in the Old Louisville neighborhood, specifically on West Oak Street. I've lived in Louisville for a long time, and it's usually a pretty peaceful area, though it's not without its issues. Has anyone else noticed if there have been any other crimes reported in this area, or if there’s been an increase in violence recently? It just seems like such a random place for something so tragic to happen. My heart goes out to the families of Devante and Lavonta, and I hope that justice is served soon. If anyone has more local insight or has noticed something there, it might be worth sharing. This community needs all the help it can get to find some closure.
