Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Dion Charles Marshall Sims-Bey and Rontez Donahue, and it's just so deeply saddening. One thing that's been on my mind is the role of the community in these investigations. We hear all the time that tips from the public can make a huge difference, but I wonder how much info actually gets relayed in situations like this. It breaks my heart to think about how young these guys were and the potential futures they had ahead of them. I hope the community surrounding that apartment complex steps up and shares anything they saw or heard, even if it feels insignificant. Sometimes the tiniest detail can crack a case wide open. Does anyone know if the TIPS Hotline in Kansas City has been successful in bringing forward useful leads in other cases? I really hope folks feel encouraged to come forward, even if it's anonymously. The families deserve justice, and knowing there's a supportive community might bring some comfort to them in such a difficult time. Sending thoughts to the families and hoping for answers soon.
