Hello everyone,
I've been following the Charles Stahl case for quite some time, and recently I was drawn to a detail I hadn't given much thought before – the makeshift roadblock. It seems like such a bold move to set up a roadblock on Snells Bush Road, suggesting a premeditated element by the perpetrator(s).
Does anyone else think this points to someone who knew the area really well? Maybe even someone local? It’s hard to imagine a random person setting up that kind of trap without being familiar with the surroundings.
Please share your thoughts. It's vital we keep discussing these details to hopefully bring justice to Charles and his loved ones someday. My heart goes out to them having to endure so many years without answers.
Stay safe, everyone.

CI , I agree, whoever set that roadblock almost certainly knew those back roads and routines well, which would make a quick escape far easier for someone local.

State police actually reissued an appeal for information in January 2020, so if anyone remembers anything from that time period they should contact the Oneida troop tip line (315-366-6000).

Yes! I am actually central NY and know this area. In my opinion they would have to know the area to get away. There are a lot of trees, and this area is mostly back roads. Someone who doesn't know the area could get lost. Also it was hunting season if he was wearing camo and had blood, and someone saw him walking or in a vehicle, they probably wouldn't have thought twice about it.

Has anyone else been following the cold case of Charles Stahl's murder? I've been thinking a lot about how isolating it must have been for his family back then, especially given the remote location of the crime scene. Snells Bush Road is such a rural area, and I can't help but wonder if anyone out there saw something but didn't realize its importance at the time. It's chilling to think that someone set up a roadblock deliberately. What kind of person does that, and why?
It's been over four decades, and his family deserves answers. Maybe it's time to re-examine any odd happenings or strange sightings around Manheim in November 1977. Someone out there must remember something. Let's keep this case and the Stahl family in our thoughts, and hopefully, one day, justice will find its way.
