Has anyone else been following Kimberly Simon's case closely? I keep thinking about the impact this has had on her family, especially after all these years without justice. What really sticks with me is how the case seemed to change the community's sense of security overnight.
There's no denying the pain and frustration her loved ones must feel, not only living without her but also going through the legal rollercoaster with Steven Barnes. It's hard to imagine how they stayed strong through his conviction and then his eventual exoneration.
I wonder if the advances in forensic science will eventually lead to new insights into the case. It just seems like in so many of these cold cases, a breakthrough can come from the most unexpected places. My heart goes out to her family and the community, and I hope they find the answers they deserve soon. If anyone's got new updates or theories, feel free to share. It feels like this case needs all the eyes on it that it can get.
Has anyone looked into the potential of overlooked evidence in Kimberly Simon's case? It breaks my heart to think her family still doesn’t have closure after all these years. I'm curious if there were any leads that weren't pursued aggressively at the time because they were too focused on Barnes? Given how the forensic science was back in the 80s, I'm really hoping they've gone over everything with the latest technology.
Also, does anyone know if they ever spoke with people who lived near that wooded area by the Mohawk River? Someone must have seen or heard something, right? I genuinely believe there might be some detail out there that'll make a difference. My thoughts are with Kimberly, her family, and all those affected by this tragedy. Here's hoping they get the answers they so desperately need.
Hey everyone,
I've been reading a lot about the Kimberly Simon case, and one detail I'm curious about is the involvement of DNA testing back then. I'm wondering if there's been any update on whether they’ve retested the DNA samples against other databases now that technology has advanced even more since 2008? It seems like advances in DNA profiling keep helping solve cold cases, and I can't help but think this could be the key here too. It's frustrating to know that Kimberly’s family is still waiting for justice. Does anyone have any info or thoughts on what steps might be taken in a case like this when previously tested DNA yields no matches? It feels like we are so close yet so far from solving this tragedy.
Thinking of Kimberly's loved ones during what must be an unimaginable journey. Let's keep sharing any updates and hope they find the answers they need.
