On a late summer night in Alabaster, Alabama, a party abruptly turned into a scene of chaos and tragedy, resulting in the death of 27-year-old Rakeem Shields. The incident unfolded in the early morning hours of September 20, 2020, when gunfire erupted into a crowd of partygoers. Shields sustained fatal injuries and another woman was critically wounded by a gunshot to her head.
