Has anyone else been having a hard time wrapping their head around the motive behind this tragic event? It just doesn't make sense to me. Jeffery Kendall Barton was well loved in his community, and from what I've gathered, he wasn't the type to have enemies. How does someone go from living in a peaceful town like Decatur to being involved in something as horrific as a shooting? I can’t help but think about his family and friends during this time. They must be devastated, trying to make sense of all this chaos. I wonder if there were any warning signs or something that could have hinted at this happening. The whole thing is just so unsettling. My thoughts are with those who knew and loved Jeffery; I hope they find some comfort and answers as the investigation unfolds.
