Hey everyone, I’ve been following the tragic story of Tyale Coates and Mhilo Young, and my heart goes out to their families, who are facing unimaginable pain right now. I keep thinking about how essential it is for the community to come together in these moments. It’s deeply concerning to me that the security cameras at the Circle Seven weren’t operational when the shooting happened. In cases like these, surveillance footage can be a game changer in piecing together what happened. This frustrating setback makes me think about how important it is for local businesses to maintain their camera systems not just for their own security, but for the safety of the entire community. Is there any public initiative in Northeast D.C. to support businesses in securing and maintaining these systems? Community efforts and support could prevent future tragedies from going without answers. I really hope anyone with information will step up and help the police, as it’s vital for closure for both families and justice for Tyale and Mhilo. Stay safe, everyone.
