Hi everyone, I came across Kenneth Funk's story and was really struck by the challenges the family has faced over the years. I can only imagine the struggle of remembering him as a hero while also dealing with the pain of his disappearance. I was thinking about the psychological aspect of not having closure. Has anyone here dealt with a similar experience, where you can't find peace without recovering a loved one? I know Funk’s family is hopeful with the receding water levels at Lake Mead possibly uncovering new evidence, but I'm really curious how others cope with the waiting and uncertainty. Any insights or coping mechanisms would be really appreciated.

I've been following the Kenneth Eldon Funk case for a while now, and I'm particularly interested in the role of Lake Mead's receding water levels. With the drought conditions exposing previously submerged areas, could new angles of search possibly yield more clues? It's tragic that even extensive searches haven't led to any breakthroughs in the past, but I'm wondering if this changing landscape could help bring some long-awaited answers. Has anyone heard of any specific areas or recent searches conducted by the authorities lately? What are the chances that newly exposed areas could finally lead to some sort of closure for the Funk family?
