Kenneth Eldon Funk, 56, went missing on June 19, 2004, while boating with his wife and family at Lake Mead near Las Vegas, Nevada. The tragic incident occurred after a large wave struck their pontoon boat, sweeping his wife, Annette, into the water. She was not wearing a life jacket at the time, and Funk immediately cut the boat’s engine, grabbed a life vest, and jumped into the water to save her.
