This whole situation is so distressing. I've been reading up on the procedures in place for when detainees are taken to medical facilities, and it seems like there might be gaps or inconsistencies that need to be addressed. Officer Bartholomew was just doing his job, but what happened to him highlights a vulnerability that could potentially put others at risk too. It's clear there needs to be a reassessment of protocols to ensure everyone's safety — officers, medical staff, and other patients alike. My heart goes out to Bartholomew's family and his fellow officers. I hope some positive changes can come from this tragedy, so no one else has to endure such a horrific situation.
