It's truly devastating to think about the ripple effect this tragedy has on the community. Jorge Luis Ocasio-Ortiz, by all accounts, seemed like a hardworking man, just out to enjoy an evening. It makes you question how a night that should have been filled with music and joy could turn so dark. I think it's important to reflect on how quickly situations can escalate, and the need for better conflict de-escalation particularly in crowded, emotionally charged environments like concerts. My heart goes out to Jorge's family and friends; losing a loved one in such a senseless way is unimaginable. I'm also left wondering about the psychological state of Hamlet Vargas. While there's absolutely no excuse for his actions, I can't help but think about the pent-up emotions he must have had for things to spiral so tragically. I hope justice is served, but also that we as a society can learn something from this to prevent further incidents.
