I’ve been thinking about the location where Cornelius was found, and it just upsets me more the deeper I look into it. The Rev. Dr. Morrell Todd Homes public housing complex, where Cornelius was discovered, is supposed to be a safe place for families striving for a better future. Yet, this tragedy shows how violence can touch even the most vulnerable communities. I hope the investigators are taking a close look at possible surveillance footage from the area. Public housing complexes often have cameras installed, which could provide some crucial evidence or at least a lead. My heart goes out to his family and friends who are left to pick up the pieces and try to find answers amid their grief. It’s just devastating that yet another young life was ended so abruptly. If you have any information, please come forward—you might hold the key to helping bring justice for Cornelius and his loved ones.
