Attending St. Joseph Catholic School has been a blessing in so many ways, but right now, the shadow cast by the loss of Coach DJ is palpable throughout our entire community. As the mother of one of his former players, I can attest to the tremendous positive influence he had on the kids. It's unfathomable how one can take away such a beacon of guidance and positivity. I remember how my son used to come home from practice, energized and excited, talking about how Coach DJ taught him not only about basketball but about life. The impact he had goes beyond championships—it's about the character he instilled in our children. I can't imagine what his family, especially his kids, are going through right now. Sending love and strength to everyone affected. Let's honor his legacy by continuing to support our young ones, just as he would have wanted.
