I've been following the tragic case of Cyanna Boone and Frank Price Jr., and what's been really weighing on my mind is how the community is reacting to these events. The loss of Cyanna, especially, resonates with so many people not just because of her achievements and potential, but because she symbolized hope for the younger generation in Fort Worth. I recently saw a mural go up in her honor near Dunbar High School. It's a beautiful tribute that truly captures her essence. Neighbors and friends have been leaving flowers and notes, sharing stories about how she inspired them or lent a helping hand. It's moments like these that remind us of the ripple effect one life can have on a community. Also, it’s been encouraging to see local leaders and organizations stepping up to hold conversations about preventing youth violence. There’s talk about implementing more after-school programs and community activities that aim to bring young people together in positive ways. It feels like there’s finally some movement towards making lasting change. To anyone from Fort Worth or those impacted by this, my thoughts are with you. I hope we can honor Cyanna and Frank's memories by creating a safer and more supportive environment for our youth.
