I’ve been following this case closely, and I'm curious about the background of the relationship between Phillip Lozano and Joel Florez. It’s puzzling because nothing about their history or any interactions seems to have been made public. Was this a chance encounter gone wrong, or was there something deeper between them? It seems odd that Florez would claim self-defense, yet be charged with murder so quickly. I'm wondering if anyone’s come across any information about whether Lozano and Florez knew each other prior to that night, or if this was completely out of the blue.
