I've been thinking about how this case has affected the entire Farmerville community. It’s devastating to see someone so young lose their life to violence. The fact that Kayane's funeral is taking place at the Union Parish High School Gym just hits home how deeply connected he was with the people here. It feels like the whole town is grieving together, not just his family and friends. My heart goes out to everyone who loved him and is struggling with this loss. It also makes me wonder how the community can come together to prevent something like this from happening in the future. We need to find ways to support our youth and address the underlying issues that lead to such tragedies.
