I’ve been following the details of the Indian Point shooting, and I can’t help but think about Robert Louis Kraft and his friends just trying to have a good time at the Mecum Car Show. It’s chilling to think they were simply waiting for help with their car when everything changed so violently in an instant. What makes it even more worrisome is knowing that they were in broad daylight, at a place where anyone should feel safe. The randomness of it all is truly frightening.
My thoughts are with their families; the abruptness of such a loss is unimaginable. If anyone’s familiar with the area near Disney, is this kind of violence common? Or was it just terrible luck that they ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time? It seems like they were completely blindsided by someone they hadn’t even interacted with. It’s puzzling and so incredibly sad.
