Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the Devante Combs case lately and something that's been on my mind is the location of the shooting. Smith Lane doesn’t really have a reputation for violent crime as far as I know. I wonder if anyone from the area has noticed increased police activity or anything else out of the ordinary around that time or since? Maybe Devante had some connection to the area we’re not aware of, which might help put more pieces of the puzzle together. It’s so tragic that this happened to him at such a young age, and his family deserves closure.
It’s been years, and still no real answers. I can only imagine how frustrating and painful this must be for those who knew him. Hopefully, the increased attention on unsolved cases lately might bring some new light or encourage anyone with information to step forward. Stay safe, everyone.
I've been reading about Devante Combs' tragic case, and something that really hits me is the timing and location. It feels eerily reminiscent of other late-night incidents where young people find themselves in danger. Smith Lane at 2:38 a.m.—a time and place where you wouldn't expect anyone to meet such a fate. It's unsettling to think about how a young man full of potential had his life cut short in such a violent manner.
It's also frustrating that we haven’t seen any real progress announced to the public—no arrests or suspects. I can't even begin to imagine how tough this holiday season must have been for his family those years back, not knowing who was responsible. If anyone out there has even the smallest detail that could help, I hope they’ll come forward. Let’s break this cycle of silence and help give Devante’s family the answers they need to find some semblance of peace.
