Ramiro Avila Jr., also known as Kimberly, was last seen on May 13, 2017, in Brownsville, Texas. Avila, a 32-year-old transgender woman, was dropped off by her family in the early morning hours near the 1200 block of East Washington Street, a known area in downtown Brownsville. Avila, who had been working as a sex worker in the area, never returned home, which was unusual according to her family.
