Ernesto Garcia, a 38-year-old U.S. Marine Corps veteran, went missing on January 31, 2015, after traveling from Brownsville, Texas, to Matamoros, Mexico, with his brother Jesus Garcia, an Army veteran. The two frequently visited their family in Matamoros but decided to return to the U.S. at 2 AM on February 2, 2015, a highly unusual time for them to drive.
