I've been following the Gregory Hickman case, and one thing that's been on my mind is the role of surveillance footage. It's astonishing how video evidence can piece together a story in ways that other evidence sometimes can’t. The cameras in the area seemingly captured so many decisive moments, from Lorenzo Love’s purchase of the shooter bottles to his movements leading up to and during the shooting. It’s chilling to think about how technology now plays an integral part in solving such tragedies, offering undeniable accounts of what occurred. I can only imagine the solace it might provide Gregory's loved ones knowing that there's tangible evidence helping to get closer to justice. While the footage doesn't ease their pain, it certainly helps to clarify what happened that night. My heart goes out to his family and friends as they navigate this incredibly difficult chapter. Hoping this evidence can lead to some form of closure for them.
