This case keeps bothering me because police have said the attack was not random, but they still haven’t publicly explained a motive. Three coworkers — Karen Bautista, Selvin Chacon, and Sergio Chacon — were killed at Mission Landscape Supplies on Stahl Road on the morning of November 8, 2025, before the gunman, coworker Jose David Hernandez Galo, was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities and multiple news reports have consistently said the motive remained unclear in the immediate aftermath.

What I keep wondering is whether this was driven by some kind of workplace grievance, a personal conflict, perceived humiliation, jealousy, or a buildup of anger that others around him may not have fully recognized. Since police said it was targeted rather than random, it seems likely there was some underlying dispute or fixation — but that still does not tell us what it was.

I also think it’s important not to jump straight into assumptions that aren’t supported by evidence. The immigration reporting that came out later may be relevant background about the suspect, but it does not by itself explain why he targeted these specific coworkers. Until investigators release more, blaming motive on politics or immigration alone feels like guesswork instead of fact.

For me, the biggest unanswered question is simple: what happened before 7:30 that morning that made him choose these victims? Was there a recent argument, a disciplinary issue, a personal vendetta, or something else entirely? I hope investigators eventually give the families clearer answers, because right now the absence of a motive makes this tragedy even more haunting.

Did anyone else hear about the brave actions of one of the surviving employees during this horrific shooting? While it's overshadowed by the tragic loss of life, I read that a man named Luis, another employee at the company, managed to lead several of his colleagues to safety amidst the chaos. It makes me think about how, even in the most terrifying situations, there are individuals who step up to protect others. My heart goes out to the victims’ families, including those of Karen Bautista and the Chacon brothers, who are enduring unimaginable grief right now. I hope the community can come together to support them during this time. Also, kudos to the first responders who arrived quickly and ensured the area was secure. Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight. This tragedy is another reminder of the fragility of life.
