I’ve been following the case of Andrew Nunez, and I can’t help but think about the terrifying chain of events that unfolded on the 210 Freeway. It’s truly a testament to the quick thinking and bravery of the officers involved, especially the off-duty narcotics officer who was able to bring the pursuit to an end before it spiraled further out of control. I can’t imagine the pressure and adrenaline they must have felt as the suspect weaved through traffic at such dangerous speeds. It's haunting to think how much worse it could have been if they hadn't acted when they did. This whole situation is just so tragic, and I keep thinking of Nunez's family and those affected. They all deserve so much support right now.
