I've been following the case of Donella and Charles Buckner, and something that keeps sticking with me is the idea of what happened in the lead-up to this tragedy. It's so hard to comprehend how things can take such a brutal turn for a couple who had been together for so long. I can't even begin to imagine the pain their family and friends must be feeling, trying to make sense of everything. It's always heartbreaking when we hear of domestic situations ending in such a tragic manner, especially when it's a couple that most of us might assume had weathered so much together over the years. It makes me wonder if there were any signs or if those around them noticed any changes before the events unfolded. Thoughts and prayers go out to the Buckners' loved ones as they navigate through the aftermath of such a devastating event.
